Examination rules

ARTICLE 1 − THE EXAMINATION SCHEDULE

The FHH is free to schedule the FHH Certification examination sessions at its convenience.

ARTICLE 2 − NOTIFYING CANDIDATES OF THE EXAMINATIONS

2.1 − REGISTRATION

The candidate registers personally for the FHH Certification examination. Registration for the examination is subject to payment of the fee and is confirmed by e-mail only after this payment has been received. Candidates aged 18 and over may register freely for the examinations; minor candidates must submit an authorization from their parents.

2.2 − NOTIFICATION

Candidates are notified of the examination by e-mail two weeks before the scheduled date. The examination date, time and venue will be confirmed along with the notification. The examination date, time and venue may change; if the candidate finds it impossible to attend the examination on a new date, the fee will be returned, to the exclusion of any other sum.

2.3 − CANCELLATION

The FHH reserves the right to cancel an examination session in the event of an emergency. Candidates will either have their fee refunded or will be registered for another examination session, at their convenience, to the exclusion of any other form of compensation. The FHH will inform candidates registered for the examination of any change as soon as possible.

ARTICLE 3 − RESULTS

3.1 − SCORING

The final FHH Certification result consists of a score out of 20 points which is scaled up to 100 points (percentage). Example: the candidate obtains a score of 10/20, which is equivalent to 50%.

3.2 − COMMUNICATION OF EXAMINATION RESULTS AND DISPUTES

The examination is automatically corrected online. The FHH reserves the right to give a ruling, if necessary, based on all the results obtained by the candidates. The FHH has sole responsibility for announcing the results.

A score statement may be accessed on the platform one (1) week after the examination has been held. The candidate only has access to his own results. Candidates are informed by e-mail that the results are available on the platform. Once this formality has been accomplished, the examination session is considered to be closed.

A certificate is then sent to worthy candidates by post.

Each candidate's results will be treated confidentially. The results are therefore only communicated to the candidate concerned, to the exclusion of any other person, unless the candidate provides the FHH with a written dispensation.

No results may be communicated by telephone.

Candidates may consult their examination scripts after they have received their results, on written request and in Geneva. Candidates have one year from the date of the examination to make their written request to the FHH. The FHH has two months in which to respond. The candidate must consult the examination script in the FHH offices in Geneva and may in no circumstances remove his script or make a photocopy / photograph.

3.3 – PROVISIONS IN THE EVENT OF FAILURE OF THE EXAMINATION

If a participant does not pass his or her exam, an online retake opportunity is offered by FHH. The participant will be able to retake his or her exam within six months of obtaining the results. To do so, the participant must contact the FHH by email or in writing specifying his or her request.
In the event that the retake session is not successful, the participant may register for a second retake session at his or her own charge.

3.4 – REMEDIES

The decisions of the FHH Academy can be appealed to the competent team of the FHH Academy by email or in writing. The participant must contact the FHH by email or in writing within 30 days of being notified of his results, specifying his complaint.
Participants' complaints are submitted to the competent team of the FHH Academy.

4.3 − ISSUE OF DUPLICATES

Anyone may ask for a duplicate of his certificate to be drawn up if the original document has been destroyed, lost or stolen. Whatever the reason for the loss or destruction, the person concerned must present all the official supporting documents required to check the validity of the request (insurance claim, complaint receipt, declaration on honor, etc.). Only the FHH is authorized to hand over a duplicate, which is drawn up on the official printed document in the same way as the original. The word «duplicate» appears on the certificate. The person making the request must pay the administration and reproduction costs.

ARTICLE 5 − TREATMENT OF INCIDENTS DURING EXAMINATIONS

5.1 − CASES OF FLAGRANT CHEATING OR ATTEMPTED CHEATING

At the start of the examination, invigilators remind candidates of the rules regarding flagrant and attempted cheating.

  • It is prohibited to smoke, eat and drink in the examination rooms, to communicate between candidates or with the outside world, to use unauthorized documents or equipment during the examination or even have them in your possession without using them, or to use a mobile telephone, computer or any other technological device not supplied by the organizer.
  • The examination will be declared invalid for any candidate who is found to have cheated during an examination and the candidate will be prohibited from re-registering for the examination.

5.2 − DEALING WITH A CASE OF CHEATING

In the event of cheating or attempted cheating during the FHH Certification examination, the examination coordinator will take all steps to stop the cheating or attempted cheating without preventing the candidate(s) from taking part in the examination. He confiscates the documents or equipment that will be used to establish the facts later on. He draws up a report countersigned by one (1) other invigilator and by the candidate(s) caught cheating or attempting to cheat. If the latter refuse(s) to countersign the report, this fact will be written into the report.

In the event of an impersonation or disorder affecting the running of the examination, the candidate concerned will be required to leave the examination room.

If cheating is proven, the examination will be cancelled for the guilty candidate and the FHH may prohibit him from registering for any further examination. No refund will be paid in this case.

In all cases, the FHH may, at any time, decide to exclude a candidate and/or cancel his examination; in the absence of reasons, the FHH will simply refund the registration fee, to the exclusion of any other sum or compensation. The FHH's decision is final and not subject to appeal.

5.3 − DEALING WITH OTHER INCIDENTS

5.3.1 − Problem with the examination subjects or instructions / Technical problem

If the error is noticed before the examination has started, the examination coordinator may delay the start of the examination. This delay will apply to all candidates and will in no way affect the legality of the examination. If the error is noticed after the candidates have had a chance to read the subject, the examination will be reinitialized.

5.3.2 − Disruption of the examination

The simple fact of bringing unauthorized documents into the examination rooms constitutes an act of cheating that may give rise to the examination being cancelled for the candidate concerned.

5.3.3 − Late handover of scripts

The examination session cannot be extended. Candidates must leave their computer session in accordance with the official procedure and within the time allowed.

ARTICLE 6 − LAW AND JURISDICTION

These rules are subject to Swiss law. Any conflict or dispute arising out of these rules will fall within the sole jurisdiction of the courts in Geneva.
